Yona, a man in his fifties, drives his son, a soldier in the Israeli army, to a remote military base in the desert. After saying goodbye, he is overwhelmed by deep anxiety. Unable to leave, he settles under an acacia tree near the base's fence, convinced that his presence will help protect his son. While waiting there, he encounters a series of characters who lead him to reflect on his life, his marriage, and his future.
