November 30, is the date that has been chosen since 2014, as the official day of commemoration of the tragic injustice that has been largely neglected with regard to these Jewish refugees.
In the first half of the twentieth century, nearly 900,000 Jews lived in Arab countries and today there are only about ten thousand of them. Reflections on this massive departure.
This documentary includes the testimonies of about four Jews from countries such as Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and others.
It describes their family's journey and their life experiences about how they fled to Israel and countries around the world. Their testimonies are complemented by presentations of original documents, photos and various artifacts.
Since 2014, as co-chair of Justice for Jews in Arab Countries, Mr. Sylvain Abitbol and the World Jewish Congress have been involved in the signing of official documents, marking this important milestone in our Jewish history.
